OK so so many of you guys have asked for this, we’ve decided to put together a enewsletter. Don’t know quite how often it will come out (certainly not daily lol, but we are aiming for once a month) but it will be interesting informative and we’ll put in some details of special offers etc too :)

normal household lighting doesnt really produce the kind of light intensity or range necessary for a light hungry plant like cannabis. Its good enough for an emergency stopover eg if you’re HPS light fails but thats about it. You can pick up a 250w light kit quite cheaply and it WILL pay for itself in the long run ..

Dude can I get some help.
My seedlings have been growing over a week and are still only around 5cm tall. Also the leaves are yellowing quite quickly. Its had no nutrients yet, could this be the problem?
I’m using a 180watt led, fan, extractor, couple cfl’s growing in soil. Ne suggestions would be great

I think humidity could be your main issue here – seedlings really like a much higher humidity – around 70-80% (see here for a post I just wrote on humidity). Put them in a domed propagator and lightly mist the dome to help increase this. Also reduce the amount of light you’re giving them – what you’re probably seeing is bleaching rather than yellowing. DO NOT BE TEMPTED TO GIVE NUTRIENTS!

Thank you very much. I have put domes over the plants and raised the light abit. They have had 1 proper watering and the soil is still moist so I was thinking about waiting until it’s almost dry then on the next watering give it a flush and then add bio grow. Do you think it’s to early still.?.
    Thanx for the reply.

you have to remember that whatever your medium, the seedling contains enough to keep it going for around 10 days-2 weeks. When you’re growing in soil there will be some nutrients in the mix. I’d wait until the watering after to start, and then do so with a quarter strength feed

I have plants in the veg state i need to put them in the flower stage one problem is i got one auto will it hurt it if i change the time to12/12

Hi there – your auto won’t do as well as she would on 18/6 or 24/7 but she still will flower (obviously). Maybe you need to ask yourself how important she is to you: if lots, then find a way to give her more light – even if it means taking her out of the main flower room just before lights out and keeping her in natural light (if it were summer) or under a cfl etc for the 12 hours of darknness
